Toast of Breckenridge

The Toast of Breckenridge was a premiere culinary and arts festival, featuring top celebrity chefs in the pristine Colorado mountain resort location.

As the Creative Director of the event, I worked closely with the event promotion team to create new original artwork, brand standards and was directly responsible for the design and production of the marketing materials over the four year span of this Summit County event.

First annual Toast of Breckenridge

I was select by the event management organization to deliver their vision for a celebration of wine in a scenic mountain destination. For the first annual event, I wanted to create a loose, playful flavor with the branding and website presence. I started this event artwork with a pen and ink drawing, scanned and digital colored to create the final piece.

2002 Toast of Breckenridge Marketing Materials

This brand was carried through all the marketing, from posters and tickets to the web site and digital marketing.

Second annual Toast of Breckenridge

After the success of the first year, the second annual event went forward. I created a stylized bottle and glasses for the poster art and my eye catching logo was printed on a variety of merchandise.

In addition to the artwork and traditional marketing materials, I oversaw the digital initiatives for this event, including the website, complete with secure online eCommerce ticket and merchandise sales. Additionally, I implemented a regular email newsletter campaign, supported by website sign up form and detail reporting for my client.

Despite the rain, I was honored to have such a great turn out for my artist poster signing event in the main tent. We sold out of the limited signed posters and ended up selling out of all the posters in town.

I created the promotional video for the 2003 event, combining footage and still images from the 2002 event over the musical magic of Breck local Dave Zobl.

Third annual Toast of Breckenridge

For this year’s event, I went in a different direction for the branding, opting for a loose pen and ink, watercolor art and poster.

Fourth annual Toast of Breckenridge

For the fourth, and what ended up to be the final, annual Toast of Breckenridge, I went in a completely different direction for the branding and artwork, with a retro hip vibe, bringing a funky flavor to differentiate this events and posters filling the storefront windows.

After four very fun and successful years, the Toast of Breckenridge event series had run its course.
